Therapy for Individuals

You’ve spent years showing up for others, juggling responsibilities, and keeping things together. On the outside, you may look like you’re managing it all. Inside, you feel tired, disconnected, or unsure who you are beyond the roles you fill.

Therapy can help you:

  • Untangle patterns that keep you feeling stuck or unseen
  • Reconnect with your values and sense of purpose
  • Manage anxiety, burnout, and emotional exhaustion
  • Create boundaries that protect your time and energy
  • Feel grounded, confident, and more at peace with yourself

This is a space to slow down, explore what truly matters, and begin to feel more like yourself again.

Therapy for Children

Children often express what they feel through behavior, not words. Big emotions can show up as outbursts, worries, or withdrawal — leaving parents unsure how to help.

In therapy, I create a warm and supportive space where children can explore feelings, practice coping skills, and build confidence through play, art, and conversation.

Together, we help your child:

  • Understand and manage big emotions
  • Improve communication and self-expression
  • Strengthen problem-solving and social skills
  • Feel more secure at home, at school, and with friends

Parents stay involved through regular updates and guidance so you can support your child’s progress with confidence.

Counseling for Parents

Parenting can feel overwhelming when you’re trying to help your child manage big emotions or behavior challenges. You want to stay calm and connected, but it’s easy to feel unsure how to respond or how to take care of yourself in the process.

In therapy, we focus on understanding what your child’s behavior is communicating and finding ways to support both of you. You’ll learn tools to stay grounded, communicate more effectively, and build a calmer, more connected home.

Together, we’ll work on:

  • Understanding your child’s emotional needs
  • Reducing stress, guilt, and parent burnout
  • Strengthening connection and communication
  • Creating more peace and confidence in your parenting

Parenting doesn’t have to feel so heavy. With the right support, it can feel more connected, intentional, and calm.

Family Counseling

Family counseling is designed to help families improve communication and resolve conflicts. Whether involving all family members or just those willing to participate, each session is tailored to your family's unique situation and goals.

In family therapy, you’ll learn skills to strengthen connections and navigate challenging times together. By fostering open dialogue and understanding, family counseling provides a supportive environment for growth and healing, helping families thrive together.

Virtual Sessions

Telehealth (virtual therapy) offers a convenient way to access therapy from the comfort of your home or a private space. If you prefer the convenience of remote sessions this can be a great fit for you.

With virtual therapy, you can receive the support you need while maintaining your comfort and safety, making it easier than ever to prioritize your mental health.

In-Person Counseling

In-person counseling is offered at my office in Towson, Maryland. Sessions held in an office provide a safe space and neutral environment away from your everyday life and any distractions.

By meeting face-to-face, you may feel you can engage more fully in the therapeutic process and increase your comfort in sharing personal information.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based treatment that focuses on changing unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns. This approach typically includes strategies such as:

  • Recognizing cognitive distortions that contribute to problems and reevaluating them based on reality.
  • Confronting fears rather than avoiding them.
  • Building greater confidence in your own abilities.
  • Developing problem-solving skills to effectively navigate challenging situations.
  • Learning techniques to calm the mind and relax the body.
  • Practicing role-playing to prepare for potentially difficult interactions.

Trauma-Informed Therapy

Trauma-Informed Therapy recognizes the profound impact trauma can have on an individual’s life and emphasizes the importance of safety and support in the therapeutic process. In this approach, a secure and empathetic environment is created, allowing clients to feel understood and valued.

By utilizing a range of therapeutic techniques, the holistic nature of Trauma-Informed Therapy addresses the whole person, supporting emotional, psychological, and physical healing.

The goal is to help individuals process their experiences, build resilience, and develop effective coping strategies in a compassionate and supportive environment.

Internal Family Systems Therapy

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy is a compassionate and transformative approach that views the mind as made up of various “parts,” each with its own thoughts, feelings, and motivations.

In IFS, the goal is to create a safe space for clients to explore and understand their inner world. By identifying and nurturing these different parts, individuals can develop a deeper awareness of their emotions and experiences. This approach helps clients recognize how certain parts may be protecting them, while others may be causing distress.

Nature-Informed Therapy

Nature-Informed Therapy incorporates the healing power of the natural world into the therapeutic process. This method recognizes that our connection to nature can significantly enhance emotional well-being and promote healing.

In this type of therapy, clients are encouraged to engage with nature as a source of comfort and inspiration. Whether through outdoor sessions, guided walks, or mindfulness exercises in natural settings, individuals can experience the calming and restorative effects of the environment. This connection fosters a sense of grounding and can help reduce stress, anxiety, and feelings of isolation.

Court-Involved Therapy

Court-Involved Therapy is a specialized form of therapy designed to support individuals navigating the complexities of legal issues and court proceedings.

In this therapeutic setting, clients receive a safe and confidential space to express their feelings, process their experiences, and develop coping strategies tailored to their specific circumstances.

Collaboration with legal professionals may occur as needed to ensure that the therapeutic process aligns with the requirements of the court.

Reunification Therapy

Reunification Therapy is a specialized therapeutic approach designed to facilitate and support the process of reconnecting family members, particularly after periods of separation due to divorce, custody disputes, or other family disruptions. This type of therapy aims to rebuild trust and strengthen relationships, providing a safe space for open communication and healing. The focus is on fostering understanding, empathy, and cooperation among family members.

Through guided sessions, individuals can express their feelings, share their perspectives, and begin to repair emotional connections.
